Case Management 1

The first in a series of three courses in the Case Management Certificate Program, this class provides an overview of case management for individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or living in extreme poverty. Beginning with an overview of homelessness and current best practices, participants will then learn the basics of strengths-based case management, client assessment, and service planning.  Participants will also develop an understanding of ethical standards as they apply to case management.
